Today we participated in the preliminary public consultations on the Operational Plan for Promoting Gender Equality!
The document led to productive discussions, and we truly hope that the final version of the plan will reflect the needs of Orhei residents from a gender equality perspective!
Present at the discussions, the representative of Institutum Virtutes Civilis, Ina Macovei, expressed her hope that the Plan’s provisions will, on the one hand, reduce cases of gender-based violence, and on the other, encourage local public administration to develop gender-sensitive public policies.
The activity was carried out by PA “Civis Invest” within the project “Partnerships for Women’s Leadership and Good Governance”, implemented by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Moldova and Institutum Virtutes Civilis, with the financial support of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
